Meet Blair Forte, LMFT

Hello! My name is Blair and yes, I was named after the famous character from the 80’s hit TV show “The Facts of Life”. The thing I enjoy doing most is spending time with my family, either during our family "movie nights", or hosting holidays. I really enjoy entertaining and cooking. Cooking was a foundational experience growing up for me, and it serves many purposes. It brings family together on special occasions, and is a way I relax through creating new and exciting dishes. I have adopted my mother’s personal joy in cooking and watching or sharing my creations with those I love. Traveling and exploring new restaurants with my family is another fun favorite of mine.

Coming from a large family I have always seen the value in good communication and family working through their issues together. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, whether I am doing family therapy, couples work or individual therapy I know the importance of our communication, attachment and relational styles in making progress towards achieving overall wellbeing. I pride myself on being a good listener and in my ability to look at situations from multiple perspectives. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, grief or intergenerational trauma we can develop a plan tailored to your needs and help you begin living the life you desire.  Your home should be a place of peace, comfort, joy, as well as a safe haven to retreat to and reboot for the next day’s duties and endeavors.  My goal is always to help you learn to manage situations in a more rational way versus engaging in conflict or destructive behavior.  We need to be selective in life and choose what is worthy of ourselves and that includes battles.

I earned an Associate in Arts Degree with a major/concentration in Liberal Arts and Sciences,  Bachelor’s of Arts Degree with a major/ concentration in Interdisciplinary Studies/Family Intervention, as well as my Masters of Arts Degree, with a major/concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy.  My ultimate goal upon meeting new clients is to give each client the time and dedication they deserve.  As we navigate together through your most challenging times, we will find the right solution that suits you best.  Together our goal is for you to feel confident and happy with the life you strive to live. So let’s take this journey together. Whether it’s baby steps or big leaps, let’s go for it.
