Meet Jamie Vollmoeller

Training: EMDR, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP)

Hi there! I’m Jamie. I love going for long hikes with my sons and husband. I love picking wild berries and making homemade pie, if you have not ever had a huckleberry I am telling you- you are missing out. My favorite season is fall! I love cozy sweaters, pumpkin picking (and carving), apple picking and of course the view of those beautiful changing leaves. I also still pull out my old Nintendo 64 from time to time and kick-butt at Super Smash Brothers and Mario Go-Kart.

As a therapist, I deeply connect with those who feel like the underdogs – those who have an insatiable desire to prove their worth. They are constantly pushing themselves to showcase their abilities and are never fully satisfied with their achievements. Even when they do succeed, they find it difficult to bask in the glory of their accomplishments. This is because their to-do list is never-ending and they fear being unproductive. Relaxation is a distant dream for them, as they always have a million tasks they feel they 'should' be completing. I know because I have been there.

But I've witnessed their resilience time and time again. They gather the strength to take on one task at a time, striving to better themselves every step of the way. As a therapist, it's my duty to help my clients learn how to love and care for themselves just as they do for others. They deserve to take time to savor even the smallest victories and enjoy quality time with their loved ones.

Forgiveness, grace, and compassion are their entitlements when mistakes happen, and I'm here to support their journey towards self-value, self-honoring, and self-love. I strive for my clients to feel seen, heard and understood. I am a blunt- to the point- therapist that can also wrap you in big hug when you need it (if you like hugs- I also respect boundaries). I find that communication that is direct, yet still compassionate, is how my client's make the most progress. I thoroughly enjoy helping my clients find peace in their lives and break free of the survival mode they have been operating in for years. I firmly believe that once they start recognizing their own inner strength – just as everyone else does – their love for themselves will flourish, opening doors to an extraordinary life beyond their wildest dreams.

For a glimpse into who I am as a person- and helpful tips for navigating life- you can check out my Podcast "Good Enough with the Trauma Therapist" where-ever you stream or listen to me on 103.9 LiNews radio every Thursday at 5:30pm.
