Welcome to Therapy! Whether this is your first time in therapy, or if you are searching for the right connection with a new therapist, I am glad you’re taking the next step in creating the life you wish to see.

 I believe in a Person-Centered philosophy: you alone are the expert on your life and hold the power to create the changes you seek; my role is to be a supporting character in your journey. My approach to therapy is centered on holding a safe therapeutic space for my clients to heal. I am warm, compassionate, laid-back and down-to-earth. My recipe for therapy is equal parts respect, empathy and experience; a sprinkle of lighthearted humor and a whole lot of heart. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to find solutions, process feelings and relieve distress. Therapy sessions are a place for you to unpack all that is weighing heavy on your heart that day. We will sit down together, explore what is happening for you, then strategize and practice effective tools and approaches you can use to resolve the situation. My goal is for you to leave my office feeling a sense of relief and empowerment to create the changes you want to see!

I graduated from Stony Brook University's MSW program and the last 12 years working in varied outpatient mental health settings helping individuals manage a wide variety of mental health conditions drawing from treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Solution-Focused therapies.  I am happy to be part of the team at Long Island EMDR!
